Chap. 176.—An ACT to authorize the severance and sale of buildings and cther
improvements from land to be purchased by the Radtord College, Woman's
Division, of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and to appropriate the proceeds
of such sale or sales. [H B 35]]

Whereas it is contemplated that an appropriation or appropriations
will be made to the Radford College, Woman’s Division, of the Virginia
Polytechnic Institute, for acquisition of building sites; and
Whereas there may be on land so acquired buildings or other 1m-
provements which it would be necessary to raze or remove and which
night economically be sold for use on other land;
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia :
1. The governing board of Radford College, Woman's Division of
the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, is hereby authorized to remove and
sever from any land acquired pursuant to an appropriation made at the
current session of the General Assembly, any building or other improve-
ment standing on such land at the time of such acquisition, and to sell
the same as personal property for such prices as said governing board
may deem the best prices obtainable. Buildings capable of being moved
may be sold as buildings, or any building may be razed and the ma-
terials thereof sold under the provisions of this Act.
2. The proceeds of any sale made under this Act shall be, and the
same are hereby, appropriated to the said Radford College, Woman's
Division of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, for acquisition of addi-
tional land for college purposes.
3. An emergency existing, this Act shall be in force from its pass-
age.
