Chap. 167.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 8 of Chapter 211 of the Acts
of Assembly of 1944, approved March 14, 1944, which chapter provided for
the annual assessment of real estate in certain cities, Section 8 relating to the
abolishment of the board of assessors. [fH B 348]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That section eight of chapter two hundred eleven of the Acts
of Assembly of nineteen hundred forty-four, approved March fourteen,
nineteen hundred forty-four, be amended and re-enacted, as follows:

Section 8. The council or other governing body of any such city
may at any time abolish the permanent board of assessors, if any, es-
tablished under this act, and revert to the method provided by general
law for the reassessment of real estate in such cities.
