Chap. 105.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1798 of the Code of Virginia
relating to the appointment of the Commissioner of Labor. [S B 165}

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That section seventeen hundred ninety-eight of the Code of
irginia be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:

Section 1798. Governor to appoint Commissioner of Labor.—The
overnor shall appoint, by and with the consent of the Senate, some suit-
le person identified with the labor interests of the State, who shall he
signated Commissioner of Labor, and who shall, upon the request of
e Governor, furnish such information as he may require. The said
ommissioner shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor for a term
incident with that of the Governor.
