Chap. 102.—An ACT to validate certain sales under deeds of trust to secure debts
or indemnify sureties; to provide that this act shall not affect any final order
heretofore entered by a court of competent jurisdiction in any suit or action
pending in such court; to protect intervening rights ; and to limit the time within
which a suit or action may be hereafter brought to vacate or set aside any such
sale. [S 76]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. All sales which have been made heretofore under deeds of trust
to secure debts and indemnify sureties since the effective date of the
nineteen hundred forty amendment to section fifty-one hundred sixty-
seven of the Code of Virginia providing for the publication of notice of
the time, place and terms of sale once a week for four successive weeks
in a newspaper having a general circulation in the county in which the
property is located, when the notice was not published once a week for
four successive weeks, are declared to be valid and effective in all re-
spects, if other reasonable advertisement of such sale has been given and
said sale is otherwise valid and effective; provided that nothing herein
contained shall be construed as affecting any final order heretofore en-
tered by any court of competent jurisdiction, or as affecting any suit or
action now pending in a court of competent jurisdiction, nor as affecting
intervening vested rights; and provided further that no suit or action
may hereafter be brought to vacate or set aside any such sale, but within
one year after the effective date of this act.
