Chap. 60.—An ACT to repeal Section 17-a of “The Alcoholic Beverage Control
Act,” which section was added thereto by chapter 144 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1940, approved March 6, 1940, so as to eliminate certain taxes upon
alcoholic beverages. [H B 139]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
seventeen-a of “The Alcoholic Beverage Control Act,” which section
was added thereto by chapter one hundred and forty-four of the Acts of
the General Assembly of nineteen hundred and forty, approved March
sixth, nineteen hundred and forty, be, and the same is hereby, repealed,
such repeal to be effective as of July first, nineteen hundred and forty-two.
