1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia as follows:

(1) That the State Highway Commission is hereby authorized and
npowered to designate by proper signs the points on the roads in the
tate system where the Appalachian Trail crosses said roads.

(2) That the State Highway Commission is hereby authorized and
mpowered to spend out of funds appropriated to the State Highway
‘ommission such funds as may be necessary to carry out the provisions
