Chap. 404.—An ACT to authorize the Town of Big Stone Gap, in the County of
Wise, to donate and convey to the Commonwealth of Virginia, or some agency
thereof, a portion of one of its public parks as a site for a State supervised
museum, under certain circumstances, and to make contributions toward the
upkeep of such museum. [H B 461]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Town of Big Stone Gap is hereby authorized to donate and convey to the
Commonwealth of Virginia, or such agency of the State as may be desig-
nated to hold the title thereto, such portion of one of the public parks of
the town as its council may deem proper, as a site for a State supervised
museum, in the event provision be made for the establishment of such a
museum, in which event, such deed shall be executed for and on behalf of
said Town by its mayor and clerk of council; and the said Town is also
authorized to make such periodical contributions as its council may deem
proper, toward the upkeep of such museum, in event the same be estab-
lished.
