approved March 7, 1934, as heretofore amended, by adding thereto a new section
numbered 18-c, prohibiting the sale of certain alcoholic beverages except at

| 5 Approved March 31,1942 :
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That “The
Alcoholic Beverage Control Act”, which was approved March seventh,
nineteen hundred and thirty-four, be amended by adding thereto a new
section numbered eighteen-c, as follows: ,
Section 18-c. Beverages containing more than fourteen per centum
of alcohol by volume sold only at government stores——On and after De-
cember thirty-first, nineteen hundred and forty-two, no alcoholic bever-
age having an alcoholic content of more than fourteen per centum by
volume shall be sold at retail in the State of Virginia, except at govern-
ment stores. Nothing in this act shall be construed to prohibit sales. by
druggists as authorized by section thirty-three of this act.
