direction of the Governor, for the coordination of State and local defense activi-

ties during the period which began on February 1, 1942 and ends on June 30,

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That there
is hereby appropriated, out of the general fund of the State treasury, a
sum sufficient for the coordination of State and local defense activities
during the period which began on February first, nineteen hundred and
forty-two and ends on June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and forty-two, es-
timated at fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), for expenditures on war-
rants of the Comptroller, issued upon vouchers signed by the Governor, or
by such other person as may be designated by him for the purpose.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
