Chap. 165.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled “An Act to provide
additional funds for the operation of the Banking Division of the State Cor-
poration Commission by authorizing the said Commission to increase the fees
and assessments for examination, supervision, registration and licensing of
State banks and trust companies, building and loan associations, industrial loan
associations, credit unions and small loan companies, and to prohibit the imposi-
tion of such fees and assessments upon National banks, to repeal all acts and
parts of acts inconsistent with this act, and for other purposes.”, approved

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That an act
entitled ““An Act to provide additional funds for the operation of the
Bureau of Banking of the State Corporation Commission by authorizing
the said Commission to increase the fees and assessments for examina-
tion, supervision, registration and licensing of State banks and trust
companies, building and loan associations, industrial loan associations,
credit unions and small loan companies, and to prohibit the imposition
of such fees and assessments upon National banks, to repeal all acts and
parts of acts inconsistent with this act, and for other purposes”, approved
March fourth, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
In order to provide additional funds for the operation of the Bureau
of Banking of the State Corporation Commission, the State Corporation
Commission hereby is authorized to increase the fees and assessments
for the examination, supervision, registration and licensing of building
and loan associations, industrial loan associations, credit unions and
small loan companies, to the extent of fifty per centum of the fees and
assessments imposed by law as of January first, nineteen hundred and
thirty-four.
2. ‘That all acts, and parts of acts, Code sections and parts thereof
inconsistent with this act be, and the same hereby are repealed, to the
extent of such inconsistency.
