Chap. 99.—An ACT for the Relief of Isaac Jones and others.
In force February 19, 1872.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That H
authority be granted to “the school board of the county of 3;
Elizabeth City” t to examine into the facts respecting the peti- ¥
tion of Isaac Jones, William Massenburg, Virginia Lowry and b
others, debtors to the school fund of the county of Elizabeth P
City; and if in the judgment of the board they should be re- fc
lieved of interest accrued during the war, then the school board
of Elizabeth City is hereby authorized to relieve the debtors to
said fund of said interest; provided, if said board does relieve C
the said debtors, that before it can be taken advantage of by >
said debtors, the county court of Elizabeth City county mt | P
approve the action of said board.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage. c
