Chap. 95.—An ACT to Amend the Charter of the Town of Culpeper.
Approved February 14, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That a
section thirty-seven of an act entitled “an act to change the 2,
name of Fairfax to Culpeper, and to provide a new charter for A
the same,” approved June eighth, eighteen hundred and sev-
enty, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
“$ 37. The said town, and taxable persons and property
therein, shall be exempt and free from the payment of any £
poor rates or road tax for any year in which it shall appear &
that said town shall, at its own expense, provide for its own
poor and keep its streets in order.”
2. This act shall be in force from its passage. c
