Chap. 81.—An ACT for the Relief of Charles Burgess, Sr., of King Wil-
. liam County.
Approved February 8, 1872.
Whereas, Charles Burgess, sr., merchant of King William
county, was tried before the county court of said county on
the day of eighteen hundred and seventy-one, for
violating the act of assembly relating to junk dealers, and a
fine of fifty dollars imposed upon him therefor; and whereas,
the amount of said fine has not been paid into the state trea-
sury, the payment thereof having been suspended by super-
sedeas from the circuit court of said county of King William;
and whereas, also, the judge of the county court, the common-
wealth’s attorney for the same, and the jurors who tried the
case, have united in recommending a remission of said fine:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the fine of
fifty dollars imposed on Charles Burgess, sr., merchant, of
King William county, for a violation of the act relating to and
regulating the business of junk dealers, be and the same is
hereby remitted, and said Burgess fully discharged and released
from paying the same. .
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
