Chap. 97.—An ACT to require the county school boards and the boards of super-
visors, or other governing bodies of the counties, to cause to be recorded in
well bound books, complete minutes of all their meetings and proceedings, in-
cluding all bids submitted on any building, materials, supplies, work, or project
to be let to contract, and to provide that such books shall be kept open to public
inspection of any such minutes for certain periods. [H B 153]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be the duty of the county school boards and the boards of
supervisors or other governing bodies, of all the counties in this State,
to cause to be recorded in well bound books, complete minutes of all
their respective meetings and proceedings, including all bids submitted
on any building, materials, supplies, work, or project to be let to
contract by any such school board, or board of supervisors or other
soverning body, which books shall be kept open to public inspection
of any such minutes at all reasonable times for a period of three
years after the recordation thereof.
