Chap. 73.—An ACT to validate elections heretofore held for the purpose of sub-
mitting to the qualified electors of any county the question of issuing county
bonds for the purpose of funding indebtedness incurred by the county school
board for school purposes, and to validate county bonds issued by county
school boards pursuant to any such election. [H B 168}

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That
any election heretofore held for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified voters of any county of. Virginia the question of issuing
county bonds for the purpose of funding indebtedness incurred by
the county school board.for school purposes, at which election a
majority of the qualified voters of the county voted in favor of the
issuance of such bonds be, and the same hereby is, validated, ratified
and confirmed, and all county bonds heretofore issued by the county
school board of any county pursuant to any such election be, and the
same hereby are, declared to be valid and binding obligations of such
county, notwithstanding any defect or irregularity in the proceedings
for the calling and holding of such election, or in the issuance of said
bonds, and notwithstanding that such proceedings may have been
taken or completed after the expiration of the statutory authority
therefor.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
