Chap. 5.—An ACT to validate $55,500.00 of 2 per cent general obligation bonds
issued by the city of Williamsburg, in pursuance of an ordinance of the City
Council, and of an election on the question, held on November 7, 1939, the pro-
ceeds of said bonds to be used in connection with the erection of a public school
building in said city, for colored children. . [H B 13]

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That all of
a series of fifty-five thousand, five hundred dollars of two per cent
bonds issued by the City of Williamsburg as general obligation bonds,
in pursuance of an ordinance of the City Council, approved September
seventh, nineteen hundred and thirty-nine, and of an election on the
question, held in said city on November seventh, nineteen hundred
and thirty-nine, for the purpose of raising money to be used in and
about the erection in said city, of a public school building for colored
children, be, and the same are hereby, validated and declared to be
valid and binding general obligations of said city.
2. An emergency existing this act shall be in force from its pas-
sage.
