Chap. 45.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 2 of Article X of Chapter 446
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1930, approved March 27, 1930, which
chapter is known, designated and cited as ‘‘The Military Code of Virginia,”
relating to the appropriation of money by counties, cities and towns to the
national guard and naval militia. [S B 32]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That
section two of article ten (X) of chapter four hundred and forty-six
of the Acts of the General Assembly of nineteen hundred and thirty,
approved March twenty-seventh, nineteen hundred and thirty, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 2. County, City and Town Appropriations.—Counties,
cities, and towns may appropriate such sums of money as they may
deem proper to the various organizations of the national guard or
naval militia, when said organizations are maintained within the
limits of the counties, cities and towns respectively, and counties
may appropriate such sums of money as they may deem proper to
the various organizations of the national guard if such organizations
are maintained in any incorporated town or city of the second class
located within the geographical limits of such counties respectively.
