Chap. 35,—An ACT Authorizing the Trustees of the Presbyterian Church
and Congregation at Staunton to Execute Deeds of Trust.

Whereas, it is represented that the Presbyterian church and
congregation at Staunton, for the purpose of erecting a new
and suitable house of worship, have contracted a debt for
money borrowed, and that they are desirous of securing the
same: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for the legally constituted trustees of said church and
congregation to execute one or more deeds of trust upon all
the real estate belonging to said church and congregation, or
parts thereof, for the purpose aforesaid; which deed, or deeds,
shall be as effectual as if executed by an individual, and, ex-
cept as may be therein otherwise provided, shall be subject to
the provisions of chapter one hundred and seventeen of the
