Chap. 323.—An ACT providing that it shall be unnecessary to publish in a news-
paper or otherwise any new or changed ordinances contained in any codification
or codifications, in whole or in part, of the general ordinances, or any part
thereof, of the City of Norfolk, and providing when such new or changed ordi-
nances take effect. [H B 398}

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That
whenever the Council of the City of Norfolk shall codify, in whole or
in part, and print at one time, or from time to time, in book or pamph-
let form, the general ordinances of the City of Norfolk, or any part
thereof, it shall be unnecessary to publish any new or changed ordi-
nances therein contained, or such codification or codifications, in a
newspaper or otherwise, as provided by the Charter of said City of
Norfolk, and all new or changed ordinances therein contained, and
such codification or codifications, shall take effect at such time, but
not less than thirty days after such codification or codifications shall
have been printed in book or pamphlet form, as may be prescribed
by the Council by ordinance.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
