Chap. 287.—An ACT to authorize and direct the State Highway Commission to
accept a ferry across the James River at Hatton in Albemarl: County, and to
maintain and operate such ferry as a connecting link in the State system of

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
State Highway Commission be, and it is hereby, authorized and
directed, if and when the ferry across the James River at Hatton,
Albemarle County, connecting the counties of Albemarle and Buck-
ingham and forming a connecting link in the seconc.ary system of
State highways, shall be offered to the said Commission and the
State of Virginia without cost to the Commonwealth, to accept such
ferry and to maintain and operate it as a part of the State highway
system.
