Chap. 342.—An ACT to Provide for the Repair of the State Capitol.
Approved March 25, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the governor,
the lieutenant-governor, and the speaker of the house of dele-
gates, are hereby constituted commissioners, and are authorized
and empowered, on behalf of the state, to contract with a
responsible party or parties for the making of such repairs to
the state capitol and its approaches as the said commissioners
may find to be necessary, not exceeding in cost the amount
hereinafter appropriated; and they will report their proceed-
ings under this act, together with any contracts which they
have made and any bids they may receive, and their disburse-
ments, to the general assembly, at its next session.
2. The sum of twelve thousand dollars, or so much thereof
as may be necessary to defray the costs of the repairs which
shall be made under the provisions of this act, is hereby appro-
priated, to be paid out of any money in the treasury not other-
wise appropriated, upon the warrant of the auditor of public
accounts, upon the presentation to him of an order therefor,
signed by the commissioners, or a majority of them.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
