Chap. 169.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 2725 of the Code of Virginia,
relating to the power of boards of supervisors of counties with respect to county
buildings, so as to authorize the board of supervisors or other governing body
of any county to locate, build and keep in repair county buildings, and to locate
and construct, on the same lot on which is located the courthouse, clerk’s
office, jail or public high school, a suitable building for a county or regional free
library or library system, and office buildings. [S B 107]

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That sec-
tion twenty-seven hundred and twenty-five of the Code of Virginia,
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 2725. The board of supervisors or other governing body of
any county shall have power to locate, build, and keep in repair,
county buildings, and, in its discretion, may locate and construct a
suitable building, to be used for a county or regional free library or
library system, or office buildings on the same lot on which is located
the courthouse, clerk’s office, jail, or public high school.
