Chap. 13.—An ACT to make it lawful for German carp to be taken by means of gigs and
artificial lights in the Shenandoah River in the counties of Page, Rockingham,
Clarke, Warren and Shenandoah at certain times and under certain conditions,
and to provide that this act shall not affect certain powers and duties of the
Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries nor cause any discrimination as to
restocking of the said Shenandoah River. [H B 47]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia as follows:
Section 1. It shall be lawful for any person, while either in or
on such river or on any bank or shore thereof, to take German carp
by. means of gigs and artificial lights from the Shenandoah River in
the counties of Page, Rockingham, Clarke, Warren and Shenandoah,
during the day time or at night, between the fifteenth day of Decem-
ber and the fifteenth day of February in any year; but every such
person shall have a current license to fish in the county in which he
shall gig, or attempt to gig, any such carp.
Section 2. The powers and duties of the Commission of Game
and Inland Fisheries with reference to restocking the inland water:
of this State with game fish shall not be affected by the passage ot
this act, and the said Commission shall not in such restocking dis.
criminate in any way against or with reference to the Shenandoal
River in any of the said counties, because of this act.
