Chap. 121.—An ACT to authorize and empower the State Hospital Board to grant
to the Appalachian Electric Power Company an easement for the construction
and maintenance of a power line upon and across the lands occupied by the
Southwestern State Hospital at Marion. [S B 174]

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
State Hospital Board be, and hereby is, authorized and empowered
to grant, for and on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to
Appalachian Electric Power Company, by a deed with special war-
ranty of title, to be signed and executed by such person or persons
as may be thereunto authorized by said board for such consideration
as said board may deem proper, an easement for the construction
and maintenance of an electric power transmission line upon and
across the lands occupied by the Southwestern State Hospital, at
Marion, said line to extend through said property from a certain
point in the highway northeast of the Ellis Quarry, in a southwestern
direction for a distance of approximately one and one-half miles, to
a certain point on State highway number eighty-eight, the exact
location of said line to be prescribed by said board; together with the
right of entry upon said lands for the purpose of constructing said
power line and the necessary appurtenances thereto, and for the
maintenance thereof.
