Chap. 263.—An ACT to Define the Boundary Line between the Counties
of Albemarle and Fluvanna.
Approved March 21, 1872.
Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That the
irst section of an act entitled “an act to mark and define the
youndary line between Albemarle and Fluvanna,” passed March
ourth, eighteen hundred and fifty-six, be amended and re-
snacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That J. C. Hill
nd R. B. Moon, of the county of Albemarle, and William G.
‘larke and Dudley R. Boston, of the county of Fluvanna, be
ind they are hereby appointed commissioners, whose duty it
shall be to examine, ascertain, mark, and fully define the true
ine between the said counties of Albemarle and Fluvanna, or
chat portion of the line between the James river and the Three
Chopped road, and for that purpose shall attend at such time
us they may agree, and being first duly sworn, shall proceed to
lischarge the said duty, and report their proceedings to the
county courts of said counties.
Chap, 264.—An ACT to Amend the Second Section of an Act entitled an
Act to Incorporate the Town of Goodson, Approved June 17, 1870.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
jection two of an act approved June seventeenth, eighteen
1undred and seventy, entitled an act to amend an act to incor-
orate the town of Goodson, be amended and re-enacted so as
0 read as follows:
§ 2. The officers of said town shall consist of a mayor, seven
councilmen, a recorder and sergeant. The mayor, councilmen.
and recorder shall be elected by those qualitied to vote for
members of the general assembly, and no other persons. The
sergeant shall be appointed by the town council, but every
person so appointed sergeant shall receive a majority of the
votes of the whole council; and the sergeant of said town may
be removed by the said council upon good cause shown, a
majority of the said council voting in favor of such removal.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
