Chap. 87.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia, by adding thereto a new
section numbered 3184-a, relating to unlawful fishing and providing penalties
for its violation and for informer’s fees. [H B 112]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a new section, num-
bered thirty-one hundred and eighty-four-a, to read as follows:
Section 3184-a. Unlawful fishing—It shall be unlawful for any
person to use fish berries, lime or giant powder, dynamite or any other
explosive substance for the taking or destruction of fish in any of
the waters of this State. Any person violating this section shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not less
than two hundred dollars and not less than thirty days in jail.
2. All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this section are
hereby repealed.
