Chap. 400.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new
section numbered 1726-d relating to the State Board of Embalmers and
Funeral Directors of Virginia and placing a limitation on the time within
which a license without examination may be granted a funeral director.

1. Be it) enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a new section num-
bered seventeen hundred and twenty-six-d reading as follows:
Section 1726-d. Time in Which License May Be Granted Fu-
neral Director Without Examination.—No license shall hereafter be
granted to any person as a funeral director who is not at this time
licensed as such, without examination, unless such applicant was on
the twentieth day of June, nineteen hundred and thirty-six, engaged
in business as a bona fide funeral director and prior to the taking
effect of this section has made application to the board for such
license as a funeral director and paid all of the license fees that should
have been paid if license had been applied for in nineteen hundred
and thirty-six.
