Chap. 396.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 3085 of the Code of: Vir-
ginia, in relation to preparation of ballots and method of voting on questions
of bond issues. [S B 148]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
hirty hundred and eighty-five of the Code of Virginia, be amended
nd re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 3085. The electoral board of any city, and the electoral
yoard of any county, when an election has been ordered in such city
‘rin a town in such county, on the question of a bond issue by such
ity, or town, shall, prior to date of such election, have printed at the
xpense of the city or town, proper ballots to be voted at such election,
vn which shall be set out the date of the election, and the amount of
he proposed bond issue, and shall have printed thereon, on separate
ines, the words, “for bond issue’, and “against bond issue”. On
sach such line and immediately to the left of “for” and “against”, there
hall be printed a square not less than one-quarter nor more than
yne-half an inch in size, printed thus:

Each person voting at said election shall mark his ballot in the
manner prescribed by section one hundred and sixty-two of the Code,
for the marking of ballots.
Such ballots shall be delivered to the judges of election, within five
days preceding the day of election, in the same manner as ballots are
delivered to the judges of election in regular elections, for use at said
election.
