CHAP. 365.—An ACT to add a new section to Chapter Twenty-one of the Code
of Virginia, to be numbered 322-b, which new section relates to the powers
of the Governor to remove restrictions and penalties and to re-instate
licenses and certificates of attorneys at law. {HB 471]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That chap-
er twenty-one of the Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto
-new section to be numbered section three hundred and twenty-two-b,
vhich new section shall read as follows:
Section 322-b. Powers of the Governor to remove restrictions and
enalties and to re-instate licenses and certificates of attorneys at law.—
Vhenever in his opinion the ends of justice and the best interests of
ne State will be subserved thereby, the Governor, upon the recommen-
ation of the Supreme Court of Appeals, may remove anv restrictions
or disabilities theretofore imposed in connection with the suspension or
revocation of any license or certificate issued under the laws of this State
any attorney at law, and restore and re-instate such license or certificate
to the holder deprived thereof with all the rights and privileges thereto
belonging ; provided, that at the time of application for such relief there
is no other adequate remedy for obtaining the same at law.
