1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Game, Inland Fish and Dog Code of Virginia (chapter two hundred
and forty-seven, acts nineteen hundred and thirty), be amended by
adding thereto a new section, numbered thirty-six-a, which new sec-
tion shall read as follows:
Section 36-a. Unlawful to kill any deer except with two prongs
on one horn.—It shall be unlawful to kill any deer in the counties west
of the Blue Ridge mountains, except a deer with at least two prongs
or points on one horn; provided that nothing herein shall authorize
the hunting of any deer west of the Blue Ridge mountains in any
county where the same is now closed until an open season in such
-ounty is declared by regulation or by an act of the General Assembly.
he penalties for violation of this section shall be as prescribed by sec-
1on forty-seven of the Game, Inland Fish and Dog Code.
