Chap. 211.—An ACT for the Relief of Thomas Jennings, Acting Jailor of
Pittsylvania County.
Approved March 15, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to issue his warrant on the treasury, out of any
money not otherwise appropriated, in favor of Thomas W.
Jennings, for the sum of two hundred and three dollars and
thirty- four cents, the amount due said Jennings as acting jailor
for keeping and feeding prisoners in Pittsylvania county jail
during the months of March, April and May, in the year eigh-
teen hundred and seventy, after Wiliam Lehigh, sheriff of
said county, had absconded from the county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
