1. Resolved (the senate concurmng), That the auditor cf
public accounts and the attorney-gencral be authorized to set-
tle, or compromise on such terms as they deem proper, the
subject of controversy between the commonwealth of Virginia
and Andrew J. Byrne, who is an absconding debtor.
