Chap. 270.—An ACT to fix the open season for hunting squirrels in the county
of Halifax, and to provide that squirrels may be shot in said county at
any time when damaging crops, by landowners and certain other persons.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
open season for hunting squirrels in the county of Halifax shall begin
November fifteenth and end on January thirty-first; provided, that any
landowner of said county and any member of his family and any of
his tenants or employees when given permission by such owner to do
so, shall have the right to shoot squirrels on such landowners own
lands at any time when found. damaging any of the crops on such
lands. , ,
