Chap. 1.—An ACT to authorize the State Hospital Board, with the consent
of the Governor, to convey all right, title and interest of the State Hospital
Board and of the Southwestern State Hospital in and to certain property
in Smyth county to the Commonwealth of Virginia for the construction of
route number 88 of the State Highway System. [H B 48]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
State hospital board be, and it is hereby, authorized and empowered,
with the consent of the Governor and upon such terms as it may deem
proper, to convey to the Commonwealth of Virginia by proper deed or
deeds signed and executed by such person and persons as shall be
authorized by the said board, all right, title and interest of the State
hospital board and of the Southwestern State Hospital in and to so
much of the right of way of the old Marion and Rye Valley Railroad,
and in and to such other lands in Smyth county, Virginia, owned by the
State hospital board, the Southwestern State Hospital, or by the State
of Virginia for the use and benefit of the said hospital, as may be nec-
essary for the construction of route number eighty-eight of the State
highway system.
