Chap. 179.—An ACT to Authorize an Election of Certain Officers in the
Town of Jeffersonville.
Approved March 14, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the judge of
the county court of Tazewell county shall have power to order
an election as soon as may be to fill the “vacancies that exist in
the offices of mayor, councilmen, recorder and sergeant for the
town of Jeffersonville, to hold their offices until their successors
shall be elected and qualified, under the provisions of an act
entitled an act to incorporate the town of Jeffersonville, passed
February twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty-six.
2. This act shall be in force from and after its passage.
