Chap. 76.—An ACT to validate certificates of acknowledgment taken by notaries
public in foreign countries. [H B 164]

Approved February 26, 1936

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That all
certificates of acknowledgment to deeds and other writings heretofore
taken and certified by notaries public residing in foreign countries,
shall be held, and the same are hereby declared, valid and effective in
all respects, if otherwise valid according to the law then in force.

2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force immediately
upon its passage.
