Chap. 388.—An ACT to prohibit the use of hooks, snaps, or other fastener or
device of metal in attaching cards, labels or tickets to bags or sacks con-
taining feed-stuff for livestock, and to provide penalties. [H B 71]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, that it shall
be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell, in this State,
any feed-stuff for livestock, or poultry, in any bag to which any card,
label or ticket shall be attached by any hook, snap, or other fastener or
device, made of metal of any kind whatsoever.
Any person, firm, or corporation, violating the provisions of this
act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and each and every violation shall
constitute a separate offense, and upon conviction thereof shall be
fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than two hundred and
fifty dollars.
