Chap. 373.—An ACT to provide for the release of the liability of members of
the boards of supervisors of counties for pay drawn by them in excess of the
amount prescribed by law in certain cases, and to provide for the release of
judgments heretofore recovered for such excess pay. [H B 471]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That in
any case where the members of the board of supervisors of any
county in this State shall have heretofore performed services in con-
nection with the construction or repair of any of the public buildings
of such county, or in connection with the National Recovery Act or
program, and have drawn pay as members of such board in excess of
the amount prescribed by law, such members may, with the approval
of the circuit court of such county, be released from all liability to
such county for the excess pay drawn by them. Any judgment here-
tofore recovered by any county in this State against the members of
the board of supervisors of such county for pay drawn by them in
excess of the amount prescribed by law, may be released by order of
the circuit court of such county.
