Chap. 366.—An ACT to validate and legalize the action of the town council of
the town of Berryville in the appointment of G. Kenneth Levi, recorder.

Whereas, G. Kenneth Levi, was on the thirtieth day of January
nineteen hundred and thirty-five, appointed recorder of the town coun-
cil of the town of Berryville, by the town council of said town, to fill
a vacancy then existing in said office; and,
Whereas, the charter of the town of Berryville requires that a
special election be called in the event of a vacancy in said office, for
the election of a recorder; and,
Whereas, this provision in the charter was not complied with
through inadvertence in the appointment of said recorder; now, there-
ore,
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That all
official acts heretofore done by the said G. Kenneth Levi by virtue of
his appointment as recorder of town council of the town of Berryville,
by the council of said town on January thirtieth, nineteen hundred and
thirty-five, are hereby validated and legalized and the tenure of office of
said G. Kenneth Levi as such recorder is hereby made valid and legal
for the remainder of the term of office, which he was appointed to fill,
as fully and completely as if the said charter of the town of Berry-
ville had been duty complied with, and the said G. Kenneth Levi duly
elected to the office.
