1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
forty-seven hundred and sixty-four of the Code of Virginia be amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 4764. How principal in second degree and accessories pun-
ished. In the case of every felony, every principal in the second degree
and every accessory before the fact may be indicted, tried, convicted,
and punished in all respects, as if a principal in the first degree, and
every accessory after the fact shall be confined in jail not more than
one year and fined not exceeding five hundred dollars.
