Chap. 32.—An ACT to name and designate the bridge over the Seaboard Air
Line railroad company’s tracks at the southern limits of Petersburg and in
Dinwiddie county, Virginia, on route 1 of the State highway system as the
Charles T. Lassiter Memorial Bridge. [H B 82]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
bridge over the Seaboard Air Line Railroad Company’s tracks at the
southern limits of Petersburg and in Dinwiddie county, Virginia, on
State highway route United States one be, and the same is hereby
named and designated the Charles T. Lassiter memorial bridge, as a
memorial to the late Charles T. Lassiter, a former member of the
State Senate of Virginia and the patron of the first bill passed by the
General Assembly providing for the improvement of public roads;
and that the State highway commission appropriately mark the same
as such.
