Chap. 192.——-An ACT to validate certain deeds heretofore executed by corpora-
tions which were subsequently dissolved, to which deeds the corporate seal
was either not affixed or not attested, or where there were certain imperfec-
tions in the certificates of acknowledgment. [S B 304]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That all
deeds of conveyances of real estate heretofore executed in this State
by corporations of this State, to which deeds the seal of the corpora-
tions is not affixed, or where said seal is affixed, is not attested by the
secretary, acting treasurer or treasurer of said corporation, or where
the certificate of acknowledgment of such deed fails to state the repre-
sentative capacity of the party signing same for said corporation, such
deeds shall be held and the same are hereby declared valid and effec-
tive conveyances in every respect, if otherwise valid according to the
law in force at the time said deed or deeds were executed, provided,
however, that such corporation, since making said conveyance or con-
veyances has been dissolved or otherwise gone out of existence.
