Chap. 10.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 626 of the Code of Virginia,
as heretofore amended, relating to the establishment of industrial, agricul-
tural, household arts and commercial schools by the State Board of Educa-
tion so as to include hand crafts and domestic arts. [S B 22]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
six hundred and twenty-six of the Code of Virginia as heretofore
amended, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 626. State Board of Education to Establish Industrial,
Agricultural, Household Arts, and Commercial Schools——The State
board of education, as the State board for vocational education, is
authorized and directed to establish and maintain or to assist in the
establishment and maintenance of industrial, agricultural, household
arts and commercial schools in which may be taught hand crafts and
domestic arts; aid local authorities to inaugurate and superintend the
establishment of schools and departments of schools or other agencies
for the aforesaid forms of education; inspect such schools, departments
and agencies and allow to such schools and departments, as are ap-
proved by said board, the money to which said schools and depart-
ments may be entitled from time to time, out of funds appropriated
by the General Assembly for the benefit of such forms of education.
