Chap. 203.—An ACT to provide for the protection of foxes in the county of
Franklin, and to prescribe penalties for violations thereof. [H B 298]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any person at any time, to shoot, kill, wound, trap, or
in any other manner capture or molest, any fox in the county of
Franklin; provided, however, the foregoing provision shall not be con-
strued to prohibit any person from chasing foxes with dogs at any time,
in said county.
Any person violating any provision of this act shall, upon conviction
thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than five dollars nor more
than fifty dollars, or by imprisonment for not more than thirty days,
or both, in the discretion of the court or jury trying the case.
