Chap. 72.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 638 of the Code of Virginia
which was enacted into law by chapter 471 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1928, approved March 26, 1928, said chapter being an act revising, consoli-
dating, amending and codifying the laws of Virginia, relating to the public
schools, the section here amended being in relation to county and city school
boards borrowing money from the literary fund. [H B 69]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
six hundred and thirty-eight of the Code of Virginia, as enacted into
law by chapter four hundred and seventy-one of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, approved March
twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 638. The school boards of the several counties and cities
in this State are hereby authorized to borrow money belonging to the
said literary fund, and the school board of the county or city desiring
to borrow a part of said fund shall make written application to the
State board of education for such loan on a form to be prescribed by
the State board of education.
