Approved March 26, 1932
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
fifty-three hundred and thirty-seven of the Code of Virginia, as amend-
ed by the Acts of nineteen hundred and thirty, approved March twen-
tieth, nineteen hundred and thirty, be amended and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:
Section 5337. Guardian ad litem to be appointed.—To every in-
fant or insane defendant to a suit brought under this chapter, there
shall be appointed a guardian ad litem, who, as well as the infant (if
over fourteen years of age) shall answer the bill on oath in proper
person. But if such infant over fourteen years of age shall be beyond
the limits of the Commonwealth or is insane, or confined in any re-
