Chap. 349.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3923 of the Code of Virginia,
as heretofore amended, in relation to penalties for not observing rules con-
cerning the transportation of explosives. [HB 219]

I. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
thirty-nine hundred and twenty-three of the Code of Virginia, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 3923. Any person, firm, association, corporation, or transpor-
tation company that shall knowingly transport any explosive compound
in this Commonwealth, contrary to the rules and regulations of the State
corporation commission, or any conductor of any train or captain of any
steamboat, or person in charge of any public vehicle engaged in trans-
porting passengers or freight, who shall knowingly fail to observe
said rules and regulations in the transportation of explosives, shall be
fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars.
