Chap. 256.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of King William
county to levy an additional capitation tax of not exceeding one dollar on all
residents of the county subject to the levy and payment of the State capitation
tax. [H B 281]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of King William county be, and it is hereby,
authorized and empowered to levy an additional capitation tax, not
exceeding one dollar per annum on every resident within the limits of
said county, who may be subject to the levy and payment of the State
capitation tax, as provided by section one hundred and seventy-three
of the Constitution of Virginia, the same to be used for general county
purposes.

2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage. |
