Chap. 61.—An ACT to Authorize the City of Portsmouth to Lease out the
Ends of Certain Streets.

Approved Februiry 3, 1871.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of the state of Vir-
ginia, That it shall be lawful for the council of the city of
Portsmouth to lease out, for a term of years to private parties
or corporations, the ends of the streets running to Elizabeth
river—the ends of High and County streets excepted.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
