Chap. 285.—JOINT RESOLUTION for the Purchase, by the State, of
Elder’s Portrait of General R. E. Lee.

Approved March 81, 1871.

Resolved, (the house of delegates concurring), That the sum
of six hundred dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated
out of any moneys in the treasury, not otherwise appropriated,
for the purchase of John A. Elder’s portrait of General Robert
EK. Lee, and the auditor of public accounts is hereby directed
to draw his warrant on the treasurer for said sum in favor of
said Elder.
